Additionally, the accuracy of automated functions leads to reduced energy consumption by allowing better speed control for the trains, resulting in smoother acceleration and deceleration. Notably, there will also be a significant reduction in energy consumption for tunnel ventilation, which can often reach up to 80%, achieved through the movement of the trains.
Finally, the installation of energy-efficient equipment on the trains and at the stations, along with “smart” control and energy management systems (such as escalators that stop when not in use), will ensure optimal resource use.
